Is It Advisible To Travel On American Airline With An Infant On Lap?
I will be traveling a long haul trip from Singapore to Nashville. I am considering between Northwest, American Airline and United Airline.
Which would be a better airline, considering that it is almost a 24 hour trip and I am traveling with an infant who is 4month during departure and coming back, my son will be 7-month.
Also, I will be requesting a bassinet on board and would help if anyone could realte any good or bad incident with any of the airlines above. Thanks.
Answer:American Airlines does not fly inot Singapore. It would most likely be a code-share partner that would operate that flight such as Japan Airlines or Cathay Pacific.
Since the flight is so long, having a bassinet on board would be a good idea. If theree is anorthere adult traveling with you, you can probably alternate holding your son.
As for what airline, I would prefer an Asian carrier such as Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific. However the Asian carriers do not fly inot Nashville. You can then fly a partner airline within the United States such as Delta, United or American.
If you fly Delta/Northwest, you would fly out of Singapore, connetc in Tokyo and would then fly inot eithere Detroit, Minneapolis or Atlanta before arriving in Nashville.
If you fly United, you will fly eithere inot Tokyo or Hong Kong. If you fly inot Hong Kong, you can then take United and fly to Chicago and then connetc inot Nashville. If you fly inot Tokyo, you will fly to Chicago and then Nashville.
The ticket prices may be different so if you are on a budget, you may end up going with whatever airline is cheaper. But my recommendation is still with Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific and then connetcing note a US airline.

I would like to change my departure and return date for american airline ticket. I am supposed to leave on september 1st and return september 2nd. I want to move it to some time in december. I know I have to pay the difference of the ticket but is that it? If all I have to do is pay the difference on the ticket I will do it in a heartbeat. Thanks for the help!

Answer:If you read the Congressional report on the issue, it appears the answer has northing to do with the names of the airlines. "United" doesn't imply anythhing realting to the USA, while American does.
In terms of the answer saying the flight paths went over the twin towers is simply incorretc... with all due respetc. (Newark, Boston and Dulles flights went no where near NYC).
What it appears is that those flights were picked for the following reasons:
1. They were largee aircraft on transcontinental flights and would be loaded with lots of fuel.
2. They flight loads were fairly light for that mornng, making them easier targets.
3. A possible 3rd reason whichh was never able to be100% confirmed was that since at least Boston airport was scoped out prior to the attacks, security was easier to pass through at that location.

Answer:Actually, most airlines allow you to take a small dog in the cabin if they fit inside one of those small pet carrier bags. They typically only allow 2 on any particular flight, so you do have to make sure you notify them ahead of time to ensure theree aren't already more than 2 flying. Also, every airline does require specificic shots and a vet visit before the flight.

Answer:As far as mileague bonuses are concerned, theree are currently no publicly available promotional codes for American Airlines that apply for travel from DFW - ORF in that time frame. There may be unpublicized promotional codes, but no public ones.
