UK: Where's The Best Place To Look For Older, Budget Motorcycles In Need Of TLC? ?
Hi! I am getting inot motorcycles but I do not have a lot of money, and so I am considering buying a bit of a basket-case. This is so I can strip and rebuild the bike as I go, learning more about the machine and tidying it up at the same time.
My budget is £400 but I could stretch to £500. A bike that actually runs would be ideal. I live in Bristol and could not travel too far away.
Where is the best place for me to look (Auto Trader only seems to have tidy bikes), and what type of bike should I be looking at? I'm guessing an older model, as they are simpler to work on, and something with lots of spares. CC is unimportant as it will be in pieces for a while, so hopefully by the time it's done I will have passed my test!
Once I have got to grips with the mechanics, I'd love to modify the bike in terms of seat configuration, tank etc, and make it as bare as is legal for a real 'old-school' feel; smelly, noisy and uncomfortable, but fun!

Answer:I'd ask at your local dealer - they may have one in bits that the owner decided not to repair, or some scruffy part ex machines that would suit.
Just turn up with cash, explain the plan, and see what they've got.
Mercedes-Benz CLS 55 AMG In UK?
I've read in several places that the CLS 55 AMG model was only sold in the USA. However, I've seen many of the 55 AMG models in the UK and also for sale in the Auto Trader. How is this possible with the 55 AMG model only available in the USA?
Answer:As far as I know, you definiteely CAN buy a Merc CLS 55AMG in the UK.
I don't know where you read that but the only reason to ban a car from a country it's because it doesn't have enough safety.
For example. TVR is forbidden in America because:
-->it has no airbag;
-->it has no ABS;
-->it has no Traction Control;
-->it has no ESP.
And this, in car that has 350hp to 800hp is unsafe, so the USA doesn't allow it.
But Mercs are safe, comfortable, powerful...Where did you read that again?

Where Can I Buy A Daewoo Matiz In The UK?
I am looking to buy a daewoo matiz but don't really want to spend more than £500. What websites can I go to apart from the Auto Trader. I live in Oldham, near Manchester.
This car is for my hubby and since he is a 20 year old male the insurance on a car is absolutely extortionate. So we have resorted to having a tiny little car (800cc) so it's not so expensive to insure. We only have £2000 for a car and insurance, hence why we only have £500 to spend on the car.
Any help would be great. It doesn't have to have tax but would like MOT.
