Can Hazard Warning Flasher Sold At Auto Zone For A 2002 Olds Alero Be Replaced Seperately?

Auto zone sells a hazard warning flasher for a 2002 olds alero. Price is around nine dollars. According to a repair manual the flasher can not be replaced on this model and year. Instead entire flasher switch must be replaced. Is this true or can I replace hazard flasher only?

It said my tires needed to be rotated, so the auto zone person said he'd do it for 5 dollars. I had him rotate them and paid him, drove 2 miles and my wheel fell off. I have a 2003 Ford Focus and i was just wondering if i have to get a new ignition cylinder from Ford or can i use the aftermarket one from Auto Zone without having to program the keys?

Answer:Autozone cylinders are set to their own keys. You can get a locksmith to order you an uncoded cylinder and set it to your old key. If you use a cylinder already set to a different key, you will have to have TWO new transponder keys cut to match the new cylinder and programmed to the car. Plus, you will have to keep the old keys to open the doors. Call a locksmith.

Have A 2001 Windstar That Came Up With A P0174 Code At Auto Zone. What Does This Mean?

car has 75,000 miles, replaced fuel pump 6 months ago. Car runs fine but has lost gas mileage. Auto Zone code comes back po174. Told there are 4 oxygen sensors. Where do I start looking for the problem?

Answer:As Tony D already advised, it's very common on Fords for that code to appear. Since you mention only P0174 (system lean bank #2), but NO P0171 (system lean bank #1), that means there is a lean condition detected ONLY ON BANK #2. Since you don't mention any other codes appearing, it is quite logical that your upper to lower intake plenum gaskets are leaking vacuum, more so at bank #2. Ford does have a TSB that exists to address this condition. The fix is to replace the lower half of the plastic upper plenum with an updated design. The part number for this part is CM-5053. The updated part has slots in the recesses of the plenum that allow oil to drain, as opposed to accumulating an swelling up the rubber o-ring gaskets. You may also need to have the PCM reprogrammed at any Ford dealer using IDS. DO NOT REPLACE ANY O2 sensors. You're only wasting money if you do. Hope this helps.
