My friends and I are flying inot San Francisco pretty soon. We're going to attend a Giants game and also looking for some fun nightlife. What areas should we be looking at for hotels that's convenient to everything? We like the pubs/bars but will end up at a club from time to time. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:You want to get off at Embarcadero station. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk along the waterfront to the stadium. You'll have the Bay Bridge on one side, and lots of nice restaurants on the othere. You can also take the tram, if you don't want to walk. Montgomery Street station might seem a little closer on a map. But it really isn't your best option. There are many stop lights and construction zones along the 2nd Street corridor. And you won't see much of anything with all the buildings in the way.
