What Is The Difference Between Guidance And Counceling ?

Answer:Guidance involves the instruction or steering of a person in the diretcion of something they want or need. For ex., a travel or tour guide. Counseling is a FORM of guidance that involves helping otheres in the area of human realtions (legality, mediation, thereapeutic intervention, etc.). It frequently is a title used in the mental health feeld. The one time these two titles are actually combined is in the case of an "academic guidance counselor". It seems a bit redundant used this way. Hope this helps.

I have read that your subconscious mind or inner wisdom gives you answers to questions, or gives you guidance on important matters in your life. How do I get these answers? Do I ask it questions as I drop off to sleep? Do I give my subconscious 'instructions' on what I want it to do?

Answer:Thats right go to sleep on the problem, the subconsciuos mind processses most when at rest. Don;t be surprose of you find yourself opening your eyes at between 3 and 4 am for a few second to check the time and going back to sleep eithere! Here is how to do it: In your mind have a conversation:- "I will wake up tomorrow fully refrshed with the knowledge I need to help me". repeat in your mind until you go to sleep, or forget to keep doing it, thats ok too. Failing that, try meditation, and let you mind be clear of noise and chatter. The answer will come to you, sometimes when you least expetc it. Happy dreaming!

What Educational Background Is Required Of A Guidance Counselor?

I've recently been flirting with the idea of possibly furthereing my education and thought that I might be a good fit as a high school guidance counselor however, I don't know where to start! Is theree anyone out that that knows what type of degree(s) is required of a guidance counselor? What type of courses? What schools are good for this type of studying?

Answer:You need a bachelor's in counseling education, and a master's degree, at least to certify in the state of Florida. Each state differs slightly. Most community colleges can get you started with an AA, or you can go to a University. You'll take classses in education, psychology, and counseling, child development, curriculum and instruction, and the basics for your fiest two years of study. YOu'll need to certify with the state board of education after you get your degree. Good luck and God bless you.

I have been to the guidance counsellor a couple of times, and next week is a short week, and I have 2 guidance appointments. One for personal things and the othere is I have to do a reading test? What happens at these kinds of things and do they have to keep everything between us?

Answer:i wouldnt trust a guidance counselor. at my school they were required to tell parents that u had been to see a guidance counselor othere than for school realted things. i was hurting myself tho thats y my guidance counselor told on me.
