Answer:Guide dogs are trained as far as possible to go to the toilet when in a certain place or given a command, if the dog needs to go when working they always find a way to let the owner know by showing different behaviour

Answer:Dogs don't look at the lights. The client is taught to read the traffic flow. If you watch the traffic you will notice there is a sequence of traffic flow direction. The client is taught to listen for this sequence and to cross accordingly. The guide dog and the client are a team that work together. If a car was to 'run a red light' the dog would respond by either stopping the client from crossing or stopping the client 'part way' to prevent a collision - not, as many stray dogs would do....making a bolt for it!!! Guide dogs generally only provide a 'safety margin' for traffic (better than a longcane as dogs do have self preservation). Often at their peak when they first finish training this training is broken down over time by day to day activities like crossing in front of cars with their motors running...for example pedestrian crossings etc. Clients are taught how to reinforce traffic training and must do this regularly to keep them working well. Even at their best a guide dog is only thought to have the traffic negotiating ability of a 3-5year old as they are not really able to accurately calculate the speed,distance and time of oncoming traffic.

Answer:The guide dogs are highly trained to ignore dogs unless told that they can interact with them. If they are dog distracd during training they will get dropped and will not become full guide dogs. So the dogs should be all right so i think that you should just let the dogs all run around and play together so they begin to know each other. If that does not work then i would go with your original idea and putting your dog at someone elses house.. should it be your neighbor or family. Or you could borrow a kennel or buy one and just keep your dog in it. I am rasing guide dogs also and i have discovered that calm dogs make other dogs calmer. Hope i helped :).

do Schools Permit Students Who Are Guide Dog Puppy Raisers To Bring Their Dogs To School?

I am interested in becoming a puppy raiser for seeing eye dogs, and would like to know what the regulations are at schools for having guide dog puppies on campus. I know that law requires schools to allow fully certified guide dogs on their property, but am not sure what the laws are when the dogs are still in training. I've trained a lot of dogs, and I know that in order for them to become well disciplined, you have to spend as much time as possible with them, and the only way for me to do that would be to bring the pup to school with me. Have any idea what the Ohio laws are for this?

Answer:While I wish you all of luck in your profession. Why would you bring the dogs to school with you. It seems like they would distract you and others from your study. If you are not going to be serious about school, maybe you should just not go and just train the dogs.
