Need A Way To Download All Historical Stock Prices?
I need to download every stock's historical data over the past 2 years on every major exchange.
That means several thousands of stocks, each with over 2 years worth of data.
It would be like looking at a graph online for a stock... somewhere points have to be kept in order for the graph to draw them... and those points are previous stock prices.
How can I get to them, and how can I "download all" at the same time, without having to specificy the stocks I want. I need them all.
Answer:You won't be able to find that information anywhere for free. The sheer magnitude of the request is next to impossible. You're talking hundreds of thousands of companies, perhaps millions depending on what markets you are includeing.

How To Download Historical Stock Prices To A Csv File Diretcly?
This did work once, now prices are downloaded to a spreadsheet.
Answer:Go to Y!! Finance, put in a ticker symbol and click on "Historical Prices." At the bottom of the page, go to the "Download to Spreadsheet" link. This will download the data to an Excel spreadsheet. You can then save it in Excel in the CSV (comma separated values) format.
