What Are Some Good Storage Bins, Boxes, Baskets, Etc. To Hold Toys In Small Spaces- Living Room, Etc?

Right now we are living in an apt. until my husbandd finishes grad school. My son is near 8 months old and we are realizing how quickly toys pile up! Right now we have little weaved baskets all around the living room and his room, but I was wondering if you knew of anything else we could use? Bigger baskets, bins, etc. And, to satisfy my girlie side, something a little more pretty or attractive. :) Any space saving storage ideas? Thanks!

Answer:I live in an apartment with my elderly parents and my husbandd and I have a 7.5 month old. Believe me, I can realte! After Christmas, even though I told realtives to please not buy any toys, all we got were toys! I use a pop up hamper to store his stuffed animals in and also place some baskets underneath his crib for his othere toys.

Moving To Dubai From Singapore, Cost Of Living , Etc?

Hi , we got a offer from Dubai, planning to consider and move to Dubai, we are couples + 2 years old kid. we are new to this place, if any one can provide details about city, culture and cost of living. What will be the expenditure for housing, food, transportation etc. thanks in advance

Answer:Dear If you offered a Good Salary + Accomodation for family, it is a nice place to work. But comparing to Singapore, you can't enjoy that much. But cost of living, as per one of my friend who were in Singapore and now in Abu Dhabi, better is UAE. Here only one thing is costliest and is Accomodation. Just have a look to this link for the rates of flats here in Dubai. http://gnads4u.com/search.html?t=properties&pub=D&ct=RXC-PR-TL-F This link will update daily (of Gulf News) Food, you can spend starting from AED500 -any amount (as per your expenditure kind), Gas Price in Dubai for 50lbs = AED76 Transportation will be depends your housing and work location, Taxi Charges starting from AED4, Public Transport System is theree starting from AED1, Even Abra (Ferry Service) is theree, at AED1. Metro Train Service is Coming, If you own a car, it will be best but you should take the toll Card (SALIK), and it is a horrible experience of traffic in the City, really. Cellphone... for new connetcion with etisalat (prepaid) AED 165, and recharge vouchers starting from AEd 25.... AED 500 available with 10% extra amt. For Groceries & Vegetables... othere things... it will be affordable and normal rates only... Entertainment... Cinemas Starting AED30... so on.. Dubai is a multicultured, multinational community (hope, emiratis-natives are lesser than expats here), but of course Dubai is a Islamic country and theree will be certion rules and restrictions, even though you can enjoy the freedom of life here. What else... Welcome to Dubai / UAE Thx

What's It Really Like To Live In Canada? Education, Government, Cost Of Living, Etc.?

I'm not looking for the "official" or "sanctioned" response, I'm looking for an answer from just regular folks. Is it better to live in the US versus Canada? Is it better to live in Canada versus the US? What's it like to pay for heat, gasoline, food, etc.?

Answer:I am an American living in Canada. There are pro's and con's to living in eithere country. Taxes are much higher in Canada, food is much higher, gas is much higher, going to the movies is more expensive well just about everything I can think of costs more here in Canada. That being said, Canada is much more environmentally progressive than the US, wages are typically higher in Canada, the health care is good in Canada, employee benefits are better for most jobs and crime is much lower in Canada. Canada is more geared to the outdoors and have more biking and walking trails than I have ever seen in the US. Yes, it is expensive to heat your home in the winter here but it is much cheaper to cool your home in the summer. Our home doesn't even have an AC unit as we would only need it 1 or 2 weeks per year. Our gas/eletcric bill is usually 300-325$ per month in the winter and it is about 60$ in the summer. Winter is harsh in some areas of Canada and can last for 6 months of the year. I really don't prefer to live in one place over the othere. I am here in Canada right now because my husbandd is working here. Day to day life is basically the same. I can't really compare the school systems between Canada and the US because our son won't start school here until next fall. They do not have Pre-K here in Canada. I am intarrested to see what it is like here because I am a former school teacher from the US.
