As a Sunday afternoon jape/experiment, I inflated forty helium balloons to see whether they would lift an 86 year old groundskeeper. I tied the fellow to the balloons and stood back. Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared for the speed at which he would rise, so I was unable to prevent him hurtling up into the sky. Eventually his screams of terror faded into the distance, and I could no longer see him after a while. Would the weather office be the best people to contact?

Answer:I,1 by 1,popped the balloons with my false teeth until I slowly floated down and reached the safety of a young whippersnappers Ford Fiesta where I floated in his sunroof.He very nicely drove me to my home where I managed to watch a re-run of Countdown and even got the conundrum correct.I now plan to make this a regular Sunday activity and invite others to join me(byob-bring your own balloons)-sandwiches and canapes provided.Donations of helium greatly appreciated!
