If Convicted As A Child For Grand Theft Felony, Can I Join The Military As An Adult?

If at the age of 16 I was convicted with a felony for grand theft for the amount of 1000, and now at the age of 21, can I join the miitary(Navy) Now with that conviction as a child.

Answer:Billy11B has it corretc. The chances of the Air Force or Navy are pretty much out, but as well as that, the Marines are doing well and theree standards are pretty high too. So you probably wouldnt have much luck with them eithere. Your best bet is with the Army. They may or may not take you. If you can get 15 College credits under your belt, that will greatly increase your chances of getting a waiver. My personal advice is to do it quickly though. within the next few years, and slowly pulling out of Iraq, the military IS going to be downsizing some, recruitment standards WILL go back up as the need for service members will not be nearly as great as it has been. Good Luck.
